We then descend to Elidir Fach and down through Dinorwic Quarry and Coed Dinorwig to the Electric Mountain Coach Park. Distance: 22kms (13.5mls); Ascent: 1,400m (4,600ft); Walk Points: 22.5 B Plus Walk Leader – Colin Holloway (Un-reccied) Rucksacks on coach after stop, please Starting from Pen-y-pass (SH648557) we ascend W up Pyg Track to Bwlch Glas. We then descend on the Ranger path, prior to ascending NW up to Moel Cynghorion. Then W to Bwlch Maesgwm and N to Llanberis via a wonderful valley walk. Distance: 14.4kms (9mls); Ascent: 1,067m (3,500ft); Walk Points: 16 B Minus Walk Leader – Sarah Stuart Starting from Llanberis, we take a steep lane past the start of the Llanberis path and under the Snowdon railway bridge. Heading roughly south we gradually ascend through a valley to a stile near the Snowdon Ranger Path. From here we turn north east ascending steeply to Moel Cynghorion with stunning views of Snowdon and surrounding area. From the summit we descend gradually to Bwlch Maesgwm. We then follow the track back toward Llanberis. Distance: 14kms (8.7mls); Ascent: 588m (1,930ft); Walk Points: 13 C Walk Leader – Roy Wainwright Starting from Llanberis on lanes and paths we make a steady westerly climb to the Bwlch-y-groes Quarry where we follow a circular route around the quarry. We then follow the outward path for the first part of our descent before joining the track to Ford Brithdir where we turn north east to Dolbadarn Castle and the coach. Distance: 11.2kms (7mls); Ascent: 305m (1,000ft); Walk Points: 9 D Walk Leader – Brian Edwards Attractive circular walk anticlockwise around Llyn Padarn with good views across to Snowdon. Starting from Llanberis we walk along the SE shore of the lake to reach the National Slate Museum. We continue along the N shore until we reach a flight of steps leading us up to the Quarry Hospital Museum. Next we climb up through woods to join a minor road near Fachwen which we follow down to the bridge over the Afon Rhythallt. Finally we use a disused road and railway track, and cycle track along the S side of the lake back to Llanberis.
