Cork County Athletics Board, AGM 2010 1 Motions Administration/General 1. That Juveniles who are Registered Members of an Athletic Club & who are still attending Primary School, (or by age to be decided), should not be allowed Transfer to another Club until they leave Primary School, (or by age to be decided), or until an actual change of family residence, from one area to another has taken place – County. LISCARROLL 2. That an athlete transferring from one club to another club has the option to compete as an individual for a maximum period of 6 months – County, Munster & National. BELGOOLY 3. That the Convention considers the appointment of a Development Officer with responsibility for the development of the sport within the county. BANDON 4. That officers on the County Board and County Juvenile Committee may only serve a maximum of three consecutive years in the same position. BALLINCOLLIG 5. That direct contact should not be made with any Under Age athlete, by National A.A.I. Officials, for any purpose, communication should be via his/her Club – National. LISCARROLL 6. That all elections in A.A.I. be by proportional representation – National. BANDON 7. That the terms of the Competition Review Committee, set up following a Motion passed at 2008 Convention be set aside, for the duration of this Congress, to allow motions relating to Competition be discussed and voted on, by delegates at this Congress – National. LISCARROLL 8. That a ten year plan be drawn up for Junior athletics by A.A.I – National. BANDON 9. That the Cork County Athletics Board appoints Honorary Life Presidents. BOARD OFFICERS Competition 1. That AAI members do not support athletic events without permits and that clubs actively ensure that athletic events in their area have permits. BOARD OFFICERS 2. The format for competition entry forms should be standardised for County, Munster and National Competitions – County, Munster & National. LEEVALE 3. That in Under Age Championships e.g. Juvenile, Junior or Under 23 where County and/or Provincial Championships are held in one year & the National Championships don’t take place until January of the following year, that the previous year’s age groups should apply – County, Munster & National. LISCARROLL 4. That all national results be published in the Irish national newspapers – National. BANDON TRACK AND FIELD 1. That National Juvenile Indoor & Outdoor T&F events be held central, i.e. Nenagh, Tullamore, Templemore & Athlone - County, Munster & National. BELGOOLY 2. That individual competitions for Under 11’s, Track & Field be re-introduced at National Level – National. LISCARROLL 3. That individual competitions for Under 10’s, Track & Field be re-introduced at National Level – National. LISCARROLL 4. That individual competitions for Under 9’s, Track & Field be re-introduced at National Level – National. LISCARROLL 5. That the AAI Interclub Juvenile relays are held the same weekend at the AAI Juvenile Team Competition or at a date early in July – Munster, National. LEEVALE 6. That Cork County Board of A.A.I organise a Non championship Track & Field meet in the Summer for Athletes over the age of 18. This meet shall if possible be either graded of Team Based. ST FINBARRS 7. That Juvenile B. Track & Field competition be introduced for Under 15 – National. LISCARROLL 8. That Juvenile B. Track & Field competition be introduced for Under 12 – National. LISCARROLL 9. That a weight for distance event introduced for Junior and U23 women – County & Munster. BANDON CROSS COUNTRY/ROAD 1. That clubs that host either Munster Cross Country or Road Championships on behalf of the county have first option on holding a county cross country competition in the following season. BOARD OFFICERS 2. That participation in Munster juvenile cross country be confined to ten individual and three club teams per county – Munster. BANDON 3. For cross country events, that a medic be located in the finishing tunnel area. YOUGHAL 4. That all athletes wear their club singlet where there is inter club competition at cross-country – Munster & National. TOGHER 5. That all juvenile athletes up to u19 level wear their club singlet in all juvenile cross-country races at Munster & All-Ireland level – Munster & National. TOGHER 6. That when the County Board are setting out Juvenile Cross Country Fixtures for 2010 and later, at least one Sunday should be set aside for Divisional Cross Country Championships prior to the first juvenile cross country championships.
