Union finished the game with 440 yards of offense, including 2015 MID-SOUTH 256 yards on the ground. The turnover bug plagued the Bulldogs as they lost three CONFERENCE STANDINGS fumbles and threw two interceptions. • Senior running back LaVance Anderson rushed for game-high 132 yards on 28 carries. EAST The 132 yards are the second most of his career. Anderson collected 142 yards against SCHOOL DIV. OVERALL Kentucky Christian on Oct. 25, 2014. Pikeville 1-0 1-2 • Junior quarterback Chandler Whittleseycollected 74 yards rushing in the season opener Cumberlands (Ky.) 0-0 1-1 and now has seven games of 50 or more rushing yards in his career. He has 12 career Union 0-0 0-1 games of 200 or more yards of total offense. (RV) Georgetown 0-0 0-2 • The Bulldogs had four players collect the first catch of their collegiate career in the loss to Warner. Kevin Eichelberger, Bradley Elkins, Cody Johnson and Darian Patterson Kentucky Christian 0-1 0-2 each hauled in a pass in their first game as Bulldogs. Patterson also collected the first Bluefield 0-1 0-3 touchdown of his career on a two-yard pass from Whittlesey. • Freshman punter Bradley Boone proved to a carry a big foot as he boomed three punts for WEST 146 yards, averaging 48.7 yards per punt and finished with a long of 57 yards. SCHOOL DIV. OVERALL • The Bulldogs continued their good fortune on third and fourth down. In the loss, Union (24) Reinhardt 1-0 2-0 converted 7 of 13 third down opportunities while going 2-for-3 on fourth downs. Union Escapes Campbellsville Union - 14 No. 25 Campbellsville - 13 with 14-13 Victory Union Campbellsville CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Senior Bert Brown blocked a 22-yard field First Downs 16 20 goal attempt in the closing seconds to seal the 14-13 Union victory over host Campbellsville (Ky.) on Saturday night. Rushes-Yards (NET) 33-172 46-163 The victory was Union’s first at Campbellsville since 1995 and the first Passing Yards (NET) 263 162 overall since 2008. The Tigers still lead the series with a 15-11 record. Passes Comp-Att-Int 14-21-1 16-30-0 Special teams played a huge role in the outcome of the game, Total Offense Plays-Yards 54-435 76-325 most notably during the final 3:14. Down 14-7, Campbellsville faced a fourth-and-goal from the 1-inch line when Chris Cook powered his way Fumble Returns-Yards 0-0 0-0 through to pull the Tigers within 14-13 with 3:14 to play. This was his ninth 100-yard rushing game in his career. He also caught one pass for 27 yards and a touchdown. Defensively, Zach Eagler led the way with nine total stops with three others amassing seven.
