Treating the Gold Key Era With RespectBy Anthony S.Great for an older, hard-core fan like me. Beautiful reprints of comics from the golden age of Trek, before it became a cash cow. Not everyone likes the Gold Key era of Star Trek comics, but it seems to me that Trek comics and novels from the 70's did not go through the filters of the Trek Thought Police made later material conform to a bland orthodoxy. Marvel's first attempt at Trek was uninspired; DC had lots of great stories and great characterizations. But Gold Key was here first, and if you go in with the understanding that this might not be the Trek you know, you can enjoy the creativeness of the stories a lot.
