Comp % INTs 2007 Bert Bell Award 14X Pro Bowl INJURY HISTORY 2019 Elbow Strain (0 games missed) Time to Throw SUMMARY Perhaps one of the most interesting situations in the NFL involves Tom Brady, arguably the greatest QB in the history of the NFL, possibly leaving the Patriots after 20 seasons. Brady comes off one of the worst seasons of his career putting up his lowest yards per game since 2010 and lowest completion percentage since 2013. You have to go all the way back to 2006 to find a season where his touchdown total in a non-injury season was 24. By the end of the season it looked as if the Patriots had lost some faith in Brady's ability to win games with and the organization has never let emotions get the best of them when it comes to personnel decisions, though Brady is at a different level than any of the others. Brady has consistently taken below market contracts to remain with the Patriots and maximize their opportunity to win, but there are probably some extenuating circumstances with him that may not exist with Drew Brees, his only comparable in the NFL. Brady's two former backups, Jacoby Brissett and Jimmy Garoppolo, are both earning over $27.5 million a year and it is hard to envision a scenario where he agrees to less. The first time Brady ever put up a stink about his contract was after Garoppolo signed his deal which led to incentives being added to Brady's contract and a raise for 2019. Would the Patriots pay Brady $30 million for a year? Brady will get interest if he hits the market. While his numbers are down he still plays well enough but needs a better supporting cast than what was in New England this year.
