Whereas it appears that the appropriate Government has given Administrative Sanction that a total of 1.48.60 hectares of dry land is required in the Pochampalli Taluk, Parandapalli Village in Pochampalli Taluk in Krishnagiri District for irrigation purpose, namely excavation of new supply canal from Barur Tank East main canal to feed 33 Tanks in Pochampalli and Uthangarai Taluks in Krishnagiri District. Environment impact Assessment Study for the irrigation project [i.e] excavation of new supply canal from Barur Tank East main canal to feed 33 tanks in Pochampalli and Uthangarai Taluks in Krishnagiri District in Tamil Nadu has been carried out by M/s Life Shell Labs India Private Limited, under the Section 3 [3] of the Environmental Protection Act,1986. As the Environmental Impact Assessment Study has been carried out for this irrigation project, social Impact Assessment shall not apply according to the provision of sub section 6 [2] of the Right to Fair Compensation, And Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013. No family will be displaced due to the land acquisition. The Revenue Divisional Offi cer, Krishnagiri is appointed as Administrator for the purpose of Rehabilitation and Resettlement. Therefore, it is notifi ed that for the above said project, land measuring an extent of 1.48.60 hectares in Parandapalli Village in Pochampalli Taluk in Krishnagiri District, the details for which area specifi ed in the schedule below, is under acquisition. A plan of the land may be inspected in the offi ce of the Collector, Krishnagiri and Land Acquisition Offi cer, Revenue Divisional Offi cer, Krishnagiri on any working day during the working hours. The Government is pleased to authorize the Requisitioning Department viz., Executive Engineer, Water Resources Department, Dharmapuri and his staff to enter upon a survey land, take levels of any land, dig or bore into the sub-soil and do all other acts required for the proper execution of their works as provided and specifi ed in Section 12 of the said act. Under sub-section (4) of Section 11 of the said Act, no person shall make any transaction or cause any transaction of land i.e. sale/purchase, etc or create any encumbrance on such land from the date of publication of this notifi cation in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette without prior approval of the Collector. There is no residence or trees in the land acquisition area. Hence, the Environmental Impact Assessment does not arise. Social Impact Assessment shall not apply according to the provision of sub-section 6(2) of Right to Fair Compensation, And Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013.
