However, there are many challenges in their transition from laboratory settings to real-life applications, including the reliability and convenience of the sensing hardware, the availability of high-performance and robust algorithms for signal analysis and interpretation, and fundamental advances in automated reasoning that effectively handle individual differences and nonstationarity. This talk focuses on the last two challenges for regression problems in BCI. It will show that by combining fuzzy logic with signal processing and machine learning approaches, we can significantly improve the regression performance. 5 International Conference on Soft Computing and Machine Learning (SCML 2019) April 26th-29th, 2019, Wuhan, China Keynote Speech 2: Soft Computing and Machine Learning Services to Realize and Understand More About Our World Speaker: Assoc. Prof. Victor I-Chen CHANG (International Business School Suzhou, Xi’an Jiaotong- Liverpool University, China) Time: 8:50 am-9:20 am, Saturday Morning, April 27th Location: Multi-function Hall, 2nd floor, International Academic Exchange Center Abstract of the speech: This keynote will include describing the latest development for data science-focused soft computing and machine learning services (SCMLS). The first service includes weather computing, analysis and visualization. Technologies and techniques to forecast temperatures and simulate with two major cases will be presented. Case A is focused on forecasting temperatures based on the historical data of Sydney, Singapore and London to compare the past and forecast temperatures. Case B is the use of data visualization to demonstrate the temperature distributions in the United States, before, during and after the time of experiencing polar vortex, and United Kingdom during and after the flood and latest weather computational outputs for several European countries. Architecture, methods an experiment were undertaken and would be discussed. The second service is focused on data science for economics and finance, including the population and capital gains in a few selected countries and financial analysis. The methods, analysis and impacts will be discussed in detail. These modern SCMLS development can make positive impacts and improvements to our day-to-day activities and wisdom for our lives. 6 International Conference on Soft Computing and Machine Learning (SCML 2019) April 26th-29th, 2019, Wuhan, China Part III Oral Sessions Oral presentations Devices Provided by the Conference Organizer: ⚫ Laptops (with MS-Office & Adobe Reader) ⚫ Projectors & Screen ⚫ Laser Sticks Materials Provided by the Oral Presenters: ⚫ PowerPoint (Notes: Please show your name and affiliation in the last page) Duration of each Presentation: ⚫ Regular Speech: 15 Minutes of Presentation, 3 Minutes of Q&A Time: ⚫ April 27th, 10:00 am-18:00 pm ⚫ April 28th, 08:00 am-18:00 pm Location: ⚫ Multi-function Hall, 2nd floor, International Academic Exchange Center 7 International Conference on Soft Computing and Machine Learning (SCML 2019) April 26th-29th, 2019, Wuhan, China Oral Session_1 Deep Neural Networks Time: 10:00 am-12:00 am, April 27th, 2019 Location: Multi-function Hall, 2nd floor, International Academic Exchange Center Session Chair: Prof. Fusaomi Nagata Time Paper Title Speaker Mathematical methods of analysis of algorithms for determining 10:00-10:15 Boris Melnikov distances between genomic sequences Defect Detection Using Deep Convolutional Neural Networks, 10:15-10:30 Fusaomi Nagata Support Vector Machines and Template Matching Techniques 10:30-10:45 Neuro-inspired Iterable Learning Rules for Quantum Neural Networks Yoshihiro Osakabe Group-delay Modelling Based on Deep Neural Network with Shinnosuke 10:45-11:00 Sine-Skewed Generalized Cardioid Distribution Takamichi Quadratic Bi-level Optimization in Agricultural Management Based on 11:00-11:15 Junzo Watada Double Layer NN and Artificial Bee Colony Algorithms An Online Facial Expression Recognition System Using Deep 11:15-11:30 Takashi Kuremoto Convolutional Neural Networks Kwok Yee Michael 11:30-11:45 Message-Passing Algorithms for Network Optimization and Inference Wong Using Convolutional Neural Network to Evaluate Semantic Textual 11:45-12:00 Yang SHAO Similarity 8 International Conference on Soft Computing and Machine Learning (SCML 2019) April 26th-29th, 2019, Wuhan, China Oral Session_2 Soft Computing Time: 14:00 pm-18:00 pm, April 27th, 2019 Location: Multi-function Hall, 2nd floor, International Academic Exchange Center Session Chair: Dr. Wararat Songpan Time Paper Title Speaker 14:00-14:15 Some new operations in soft expert set theory Abid Khan Applications
