Res. 25] Resolved hy the Senate {the House of Representatives concurring), That the statue of the late Senator Ernest Gruening, presented by the State of Alaska for the National Statuary Hall collection, is accepted in the name of the United States, and the thanks of the Congress are tendered to the State of Alaska for the contribution of the statue of CONCURRENT RESOLUTIONS—SEPT. 30, 1977 91 STAT. 1685 one of its most eminent personages, illustrious for his distinguished civic services. SEC. 2. The State of Alaska is authorized to place temporarily in the rotunda of the Capitol the statue of the late Senator Ernest Gruen- ing referred to in the first section of this concurrent resolution, and to hold ceremonies in the rotunda on that occasion. The Architect of the Capitol is authorized to make the necessary arrangements therefor. SEC. 3. (a) The proceedings in the rotunda of the Capitol at the Presentation presentation by the State of Alaska of the statue of the late Senator proceedings, Ernest Gruening for the National Statuary Hall collection, together printing as with appropriate illustrations and other pertinent matter, shall be Senate document. printed as a Senate document.
