CHAPEL HILL, NC 27517-9531 Jacqueline Stacy’s involvement in purebred dogs began over 50 years ago with Pomeranians where her lifetime commitment to the sport began as an exhibitor and breeder. As a profession handler, her accomplishments were affirmed by her peers who voted her the top female professional handler in the USA in 1987. She is credited with the management of the successful breeding programs of several of her clients, including the Maltese who won the Westminster Kennel Club Toy Group in 1996 and his father who she piloted to the top Toy Dog at the AKC Centennial show in 1984. Mrs. Stacy began her judging career in 1995. She has judged many Na- tional Specialties, and most of the Premier shows in the USA in addition to others in Canada, Europe, Asia, South America, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Russia, Finland and Scotland. She is approved to judge BIS, all Toy, Non-Sporting, Herding, Hound, Terrier, Sporting and seven of the Working Dogs. Along with her husband, Terry, she maintains a small but highly respected breeding program of Affenpinschers under the Tamarin Prefix. 7 Sweepstakes Judge Meg Weitz 2816 Old Hwy NC 86 N Yanceyville, NC 27379 Meg Weitz has been involved with Briards since 1976, when she and her husband acquired their first two black females of de Charlemagne breeding. Immersion in the breed came about almost immediately, as they were successful with one of the girls from the start. While living in Burlington, VT and then Syracuse, NY at the time, she began exhibiting. For Meg, it was a continuation of her childhood pleasure of showing dogs (she competed in breed, junior showmanship, and obedience with Miniature Schnauzers starting in 1964). Between 1978 and 2002 the Bejaune Briards and family resided in Wilmington, DE. In November, 2002, Meg and her family relocated to Yanceyville, NC. They have continued to breed and show and still travel as necessary to continue their ongoing education in dogs. Her kennel Bejaune has bred over 100 litters and produced over 75 champions. Since joining the Briard Club of America in 1978, she has attended all but a handful of National Specialties, wherever held, and has journeyed to numerous Regional Specialties throughout the country as well. Meg also serves on the Judges Education Committees for the Briard Club of America, the Berger Picard Club of America, the Beauceron Club of America and serves as the AKC delegate for the Devon Dog club. 8 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Classification of Classes The following regular specialty classes will be divided by sex: Puppy, 6 months & under 9 months Puppy, 9 months & under 12 months 12 months and under 18 months Amateur Owner Handler *Bred by Exhibitor American Bred Open Winners Veterans *Dogs entered in the Bred By Classes must be individually registered with the AKC; - the person handling the dog must be a breeder and owner of record of the dog.
