Which Deity Is Calling You?

Which Deity is CAlling You? How to Use Palmistry to Find Your Patron God and Goddess Summer of Magic 2018 | Rachel Erazo How to Use Palmistry to Find Your Patron Deity When I first started energy work, let alone talking to spirits… I didn’t know what the hell I was. I came from a religiously-strict background where everything was decided for me, from the clothes I wore to how I spent my Monday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. When I broke away from “the truth”, I was anti- established religion. I was happy with being spiritual – I knew there was something out there! – but I didn’t make an effort to find out. I didn't like believing I needed a name for myself I didn't want to believe in a higher power or being; they never saved me when I called for them I was afraid of creating a regular practice of anything, just in case it turned into a strict dogma At the same time, I missed having a label. It was important to me, especially with an overbearing family, to have something to call what I believe. SUMMER OF MAGIC 2018 | RACHEL ERAZO How to Use Palmistry to Find Your Patron Deity As I started working on my energy and changing my life, I realized I needed a steady foundation for what I was. I could be as eclectic as I wanted to be AND have a name. Once I sat down to figure out my personal beliefs by reading mythology, studying history, and experiencing different streams of thought through literature I realized something incredibly valuable: In order to be a successful, powerful psychic you need a basis of belief. The first step is figuring out what you believe – otherwise, you’ll wander aimlessly with your energy! This became crucial when working with deities and spirit guides. The less vocabulary you have when talking to yourself about your beliefs (i.e. what someone would have to believe in order to be you), the more difficult it is more ethereal beings to communicate with you. It's a similar attitude when walking in the physical plane: your thoughts, actions and beliefs will attract people of a similar vibration. The same thing happens with deities SUMMER OF MAGIC 2018 | RACHEL ERAZO How to Use Palmistry to Find Your Patron Deity How Does PAlmistry Come In? Our palms tell the story of our lives, both in the present and the potential future. The Destiny line, which will be the main focus of this workbook, points to where we best fit in terms of career and lifestyle. It's where we'll make the most money and be the happiest in life. Coincidently, the path that's best for us corresponds to which deities are best fits for worship. This workbook will mainly cover the Greek and Roman pantheons. Philosophers of these periods did the most work towards palmistry as a study, so they rightfully get to name the parts of the hand. Feel free to do research into other styles of palmistry for alternative names. SUMMER OF MAGIC 2018 | RACHEL ERAZO How to Use Palmistry to Find Your Patron Deity Jupiter rules the index finger and mount (or soft bump of skin underneath the finger). Primarily dealing with leadership, those with a destiny line that ends here are likely to choose philosophy, politics, religion, or law as a career. This can be confused with the Saturn finger, as religion here means positions like a priest or authority figure, not a healer. Jupiter, or Zeus if you prefer the Greek name, rules thunder and law. If drive is important to you, Zeus would make a suitable god to workship and work with. SUMMER OF MAGIC 2018 | RACHEL ERAZO How to Use Palmistry to Find Your Patron Deity Saturn rules the middle finger and mounts on your hand. It deals with time, justice, and harvest. Anything to do with finances, duties, and obligations around shown in this area of the hand. Those with lines ending under this finger are likely to follow mundane, "normal" careers. They may be drawn to banking, teaching, or owning a small business of their own. Saturn, or Chronos, is a God/Titan you'll want to work with. SUMMER OF MAGIC 2018 | RACHEL ERAZO How to Use Palmistry to Find Your Patron Deity Apollo, for both the Greeks and Romans, is the ruler of the Sun. He rides his chariot across the sky bringing day to all on Earth. He's also a master at the arts, especially with painting and music. Those with a destiny line under Apollo's mount find happiness in expressing their words through art. They're adept at literature, interior decorating, or creative careers. If you're a healer, you may also have a Destiny line towards Apollo; he was a god of medicine many ancient physicians work with. SUMMER OF MAGIC 2018 | RACHEL ERAZO How to Use Palmistry to Find Your Patron Deity Mercury is the Messenger of the Gods. Known as Hermes to the Greeks and always wearing his winged sandals, speed and communication are important to him. Those with lines that end under the pinkie finger need to use their voices to communicate. They may be salespersons, comedians, writers, or entertainers. Quickwit and thought are abundant here. Technology would be a strong suit of someone with a Mercury Destiny line as well; however, face-to-face interaction is always best. SUMMER OF MAGIC 2018 | RACHEL ERAZO How to Use Palmistry to Find Your Patron Deity Other Signs from the Gods Sometimes a line doesn't point to where we need to go for guidance! In this case, you'll sometimes see dots on your hand that determine what messages these different deities are trying to tell you: White - You have a lack of energy and need to do immediate self-care Yellow or Green - A sickness as sprung up in this area that needs to be addressed with a doctor Blue - There's poor energy and blood circulation happening. Get up and move around Pink - Lots of luck, love, and supportive energy is flowing to you. Red - There's a block of anger and temperament in this section. Find time to ground and meditate SUMMER OF MAGIC 2018 | RACHEL ERAZO How to Use Palmistry to Find Your Patron Deity The God of War, Aries or Mars, rules the entire center of your hand. The Active portion deals with your immediate relationships, the Passive is your subconscious, and the Plain is how the two areas communicate and are processed. Typically spots will show up in these areas instead of lines; however, if you notice thin or spidery-looking stress lines then work with managing your anger through the God of War is recommended. SUMMER OF MAGIC 2018 | RACHEL ERAZO How to Use Palmistry to Find Your Patron Deity For goddesses, we house three deities on our thumb that are split into three different parts. How it's shaped and balanced will define who we need to work with most. Rhea, wife to Zeus, rules the top portion of your thumb. Representing willpower, this portion is dominant to those who love action and getting things done. Athena, goddesses of wisdom, rules the portion of the thumb that relates to logic. If this portion is larger on your hand, then you're slower and more cautious. Venus, or Aphrodite, controls the right chunk of your lower palm. For those whom love and relationships are important, this is a goddess you want to work with. SUMMER OF MAGIC 2018 | RACHEL ERAZO How to Use Palmistry to Find Your Patron Deity The Goddess Psyche, or Luna, is also housed at the base of our palm. Those that have an excess amount of psychic dreams, subconscious spirit work, or have issues with mental health will interact with this goddess quite often. You'll normally notice blue, pink, or white spots in this area when Luna wants to communicate with you. If another color appears, definitely speak to a therapist to prevent any issues. SUMMER OF MAGIC 2018 | RACHEL ERAZO How to Use Palmistry to Find Your Patron Deity Nuzzled next to your mount of Luna is Neptune or Poseidon's domain on your palm. This area deals directly with manifesting your desires and travel. Some that are creative, and most likely have a line to Apollo, may have signs of Neptune here as well. If you notice red, pink, and white spots here then Neptune has a message for you about your desires coming about. SUMMER OF MAGIC 2018 | RACHEL ERAZO How to Use Palmistry to Find Your Patron Deity The God of the Underworld, Pluto, rules your wrist. Hades, when following the Greek name, is about endings AND beginnings. This can be actively tracked on your hand. Any manifestations you're keeping an eye out for can be seen on your wrist. They'll move in dots from left to right. Typically you'll see pink, white, and sometimes yellow dots. The shade of color will determine how hard the change has been for you to deal with. SUMMER OF MAGIC 2018 | RACHEL ERAZO How to Use Palmistry to Find Your Patron Deity Inventors and idealists normally have strong signs of Uranus on their palms. Also known as Caelus, he's the god of the skies and gives logic thinkers their creativity. If you see red spots here (the most common) then Uranus is reaching out to help you be more inventive. However, if the color starts to go from red to blue to purple to black, take a much-needed break.
