According to the Book of Discipline ¶247 (3): “The primary responsibilities of the charge conference in the annual meeting shall be to review and evaluate the total mission and ministry of the church, receive reports, and adopt objectives and goals recommended by the church council that are in keeping with the objectives of The United Methodist Church.” We will be meeting during the month of October by two Mission Areas coming together jointly on each Sunday evening to celebrate where we are “Alive Together in the World”. (See Calendar Dates) Each pastor needs to send a brief paragraph to their Clergy Coordinator sharing where their church is in mission to some aspect of their community. The two Clergy Coordinators will give a summary of this report during our time together. May this be a time of great celebration as we come together as the church to worship and give God thanks and praise. What a joy it is to partner together in ministry within the North Central District as we are truly, “Alive Together In The World”! In addition, the Extension Ministry dashboard is updated and ready as well at https://www.sgaumc.org/emdashboard. Clergy serving a local church will find the Compensation Form within the Church dashboard. Clergy serving in an extension ministry position will find the Compensation Form in the Extension Ministry dashboard. As a reminder, the Pastor Compensation forms are open for Part 1 only. Remember Part 2 (Sections 8 & 9) will be open Nov. 16 – Dec. 7, after the open enrollment window closes. All comp forms must be completed by December 7.
