Swindon Road Club & Swindon Wheelers Promoting The WTTA Hardriders Spring Hilly TT 31 mile hilly time trial on the U871 Sunday 15th March 2020 starting at 10.01am. A WTTA HARDRIDERS SERIES TIME TRIAL Promoted for and on behalf of Cycling Time Trials Under their rules and regulations Event Headquarters :- Stanton St. Quintin Parish Hall, Church Ln, Stanton St Quintin, Chippenham SN14 6DE. New Regulation – No Rear Light= No Ride Please be aware of the new regulations regarding rear lights No competitor will be counted as starting in this event unless the competitor has affixed, to the rear of their machine, a working rear red light, either flashing or constant, that is illuminated and in a position that is clearly visible to other road users. Parking is available at the hall. Please park sensibly to allow as many riders to park as possible in the car park. NO metal shoe plates in the hall please. Numbers, refreshments and toilets are at the HQ. Competitors must sign on before taking their number, which can be exchanged later for a free drink. Please ensure you sign out when finished and before the prize presentation. If you do not sign out your time will be voided. HQ to start: (approx 4.5 miles) please allow 20-25 minutes. Turn right out of the HQ and continue to the A429, turn left and immediately right onto Seagry road, continue to the junction with Scotland Hill where turn left, continue to the junction by the New Inn pub in Seagry turn right continue to the junction where turn right, continue over the M4 to start on right hand side. Strictly no warming up past the start area. Course details for U871 Course U87Revised. START at small layby on the seagry road about 0.5 mile north of Sutton Benger and 60 yards short of motorway bridge. Proceed north over bridge and straight on through Seagry Heath and Great Somerford (CARE) to pass under railway bridge into Little Somerford to junction where left, up Little Somerford Hill to junction with B4042. Proceed on B4042 to Malmesbury Hospital roundabout. Circle and retrace on B4042 through Brinkworth to junction with B4696. Left onto B4696 to small cross roads (Braydon Cross Road) where left onto unclassified road then proceed to Minety Cross Roads. At cross roads turn left onto B4040 through Charlton to Malmesbury Water Tower roundabout where left onto A429. Continue south to cross over Hospital roundabout then after approx 0.8 miles turn left into unclassified road (Grange Lane). Proceed under railway bridge (rough surface) and through Startley to FINISH at field gate about 10 yards before cricket field layby and approx 0.25 mile north of cross roads at Upper Seagry The U871 risk assessment will be available to read at the HQ.
