Target Population: Individuals Charged with First- or Second-time Federal Felony Offenses Authorized under 18 U.S.C. § 3154(10), and beginning in 1982, the U.S. Pretrial Diversion Program aims to divert certain individuals from traditional criminal justice processing into a program of supervision and services administered by the U.S. Pretrial or Probation Services. The program objectives include prevention of future crimes by connecting individusls with supervision and services, to reserve criminal justice system resources
