Quilceda Creek Knows, It’S Cabernet Sauvignon

Singularly Focused on the Pursuit of World-Class Cabernet Sauvignon If there’s one thing Quilceda Creek knows, it’s Cabernet Sauvignon. From our very first vintage in 1979, we have dedicated ourselves to doing one thing, and doing it right. We made the decision to focus on our greatest asset, the prolific vineyards of the Columbia Valley, and from the best of its grapes, create the highest caliber Cabernet Sauvignon. This decision continues to be our guiding philosophy today. We are proud to have set the benchmark for Cabernet Sauvignon, not only for Washington State but of all Cabernet Sauvignon producing regions. We create our wine with passion and intentionality. Dedicated to quality over everything else, our head winemaker, Paul Golitzin, marries precision with artistry. We produce Cabernet Sauvignon that compete with the cult wines of Napa Valley such as Screaming Eagle and Harlan Estate, and with France’s First-Growth wineries like Chateau Lafite Rothschild, Chateau Latour, Chateau Margaux or Chateau Haut-Brion. Producing world-class wine with uncompromising quality year after year is as much science as it is art. In order to be successful, we keep our focus on small batches, with quality always taking precedence over quantity. With today’s changing climates, we continuously update our growing approach and integrate technology to maintain consistency in our vineyards. We drive the 250 miles to Eastern Washington every week, checking on our grapes personally, religiously tending the vineyards, harvesting them at the absolute peak, then transporting them back to our estate in Snohomish, WA for the crush. Our wine speaks for itself, standing apart in a field of its own. But wine critic Robert Parker Jr. of the Wine Advocate speaks for it, too. He has praised our Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley with six 100-point ratings and one for our 2014 Galitzine Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon – wine club members only – and consistently places our flagship Cabs in the 98-100 point range. One of our highest honors was when President Barack Obama chose to serve our 100-pt. 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley at the White House to President Hu Jintao of China in 2011. As a validation of our pursuit of exceptional wine and consistency in the world of Cabernet Sauvignon, we are pleased to share with you the following Wine Advocate and Jeb Dunnuck reviews over the past 16 vintages. Robert Parker Wine Advocate editor-in-chief Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW explains the award, “As our review team travels the world in search of wines to recommend to our readership, we have continually noticed that for every major fine wine region we cover each year there is without fail one winery that stands qualitatively above all others.” .
