CEFIR CENTER FOR ECONOMIC AND FINANCIAL RESEARCH Conducts applied research to promote economic and social development of Russia. CEFIR does research for the Central Bank, the Accounts Chamber, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Finance etc. CPR CENTER FOR POPULATION RESEARCH CPR Maintains a Russian birth-and-death database. SCIENCE NES stimulates and facilitates student research. In the second year of the master degree program students conduct research in various projects under the guidance of professors.
