ABENGOA Innovative technology solutions for sustainability Abengoa receives Provisional Acceptance Certificate for a new electrical installation in Chile The project has included the construction of a substation, a transmission line and the connecting structure to a high-voltage line. March 6, 2017 – Abengoa (MCE: ABG/P:SM), the international company that applies innovative technology solutions for sustainability in the energy and environment sectors, has received the Provisional Acceptance Certificate for an electrical installation in the Valparaíso region in Chilquinta, by the power distribution company of the region. Abengoa has been responsible for the construction and the installation of the Peñablanca substation, located in the Villa Alemana district in central Chile. In addition, the company has also constructed a transmission line, approximately 8 km in length, and the connection to the San Pedro-Miraflores high-voltage line that is located in the Los Laureles sector of the Limache district, and which runs to the new Peñablanca substation. The provisional acceptance certificate by Chilquinta confirms that works have been completed correctly, as well as the optimum operation of the plant. Abengoa has been operating for more than 30 years in Chile, where it has carried out benchmark projects at international level such as; Atacama-1, the first and largest solar project in Latin America that consists of both a solar thermal tower plant and a photovoltaic plant - currently under construction; or the Buin Oriente Linderos wastewater treatment plant that has the capacity to treat 9,200 m3/day.
