Student Community Service Lewis & Clark Elementary Students Host Successful We Care Bears Event The comfort that a stuffed animal can bring is immeasurable. It can be a child’s best friend. It can give a reassuring snuggle in the middle of the night. It can also be the one item that gives a sense of security, hope, and normalcy through a difficult experience. And thanks to students at Lewis & Clark Elementary School and the We Care Bears Project, more children in the Fargo area will be able to find solace in a teddy bear. We Care Bears is a national project that gives stuffed animals to children going through crisis situations. Here at FPS, Lewis & Clark Gifted and Talented Teacher Stacy Anderson has helped Students and teacher Stacy Anderson show off stuffed animal donations. students gather donations since 2017. While the inaugural year of the event gathered more Practically, students had a lot of work to make overall, this year, all stuffed animals had to be the project happen. They had to advertise for new, making this a record-breaking year for new donations. That was done through posters, public donations.
