The Douglas Foster Foundation Golf Tournament Riverside Golf & Country Club ~ August 20th, 2018 ~ 12:00pm Shotgun FORMAT: 4-person scramble ~ All players hit the tee shot and the best one is selected. All teammates play from that position, select the best position, and all play from that spot. This continues until the ball is holed. CONDITIONS: Please keep the ball in the same “condition” that it was found - if the ball chosen was in the rough, all players must play the shot from the rough (or bunker, etc). LIE OF BALL: Players may place their ball within one club-length of the selected shot, no nearer the hole. On the putting green, the ball may be placed within 6 inches of the selected position, no closer to the hole. ORANGE BALL: Each team has been provided an orange golf ball. The ball must rotate consecutively amongst all players in the group. The object is to not lose the ball for the entire 18 holes. Any teams who complete the round with the ball still in possession shall return the ball to the Golf Shop. These teams are then entered into the drawing for a gift card and bragging rights (per player). MULLIGANS: Players who purchased mulligans may use them at any time. However, mulligans may not be used for the additional competitions (longest drive, closest to the hole). STRING: Teams who purchased string: 10 feet of string has been provided to you to be used to “hole out” without hitting the ball. Use all or part of the string to make a 10 foot putt or to make multiple putts on multiple greens, not to exceed 10 feet. Cut off the portion used. Decision to use the string must be made before attempting the putt. A putt made with string is a free stroke (do not add to your score). Please do not leave any string on the golf course. TEEING GROUNDS: Ladies ~ Silver Tee Markers / Gentlemen ~ White Tee Markers ADDITIONAL COMPETITIONS: Hole #1 ~ Longest Drive (ladies only) Hole #4 ~ Closest to the Hole (ladies and gentlemen combined) Hole #10 ~ Tiger Drive ~ for $20 per team, you are entitled to begin this par 5 from Tiger’s drive (330 yards down the middle) Hole #15 ~ Longest Drive (gentlemen only) 2018 LACROSSE Hole #17 ~ Choose between a 75 yard throw with a lacrosse CHALLENGE: stick, or, hit from the white or silver tees with a golf club – your choice!
