FARQUHARSON. Mr G. MACAULAY 3 ALL ENTRIES TO DEBBIE ALLARDYCE RULES AND CONDITIONS 1. The Association shall be called the C.U.D.D.A.A.(Tarland Show) Limited. 2. A Management Committee to consist of the President, Vice-President, and such other members as delegated by the General Committee, will have the sole responsibility for the affairs of the Association. The President and Vice-President will be permanent members, all others for one year only. Appointment to the Management Committee will be made at the Annual General Meeting. The Secretary and Treasurer will be in attendance at all Meetings but will have no vote on any decision taken. 3. The objects of the Association shall be to encourage the breeding, rearing and fattening, etc., of Farm Stock, by granting premiums for the best specimens of animals exhibited at its Shows; and generally to do everything in its power to promote the prosperity of the district in agricultural matters. 4. The area for local competitions shall comprehend the civil Parishes of Tarland, Coull, Logie-Coldstone, Aboyne, Glenmuick, Tulloch and Glengairn, Crathie, Braemar, Glenbuchat, Towie, Strathdon, Kildrummy, Alford, Tullynessle, Forbes, Tough, Keig, Birse, Lumphanan, and Leochel-Cushnie. For dancers only - local area also to include the civil Parishes of Bridge of Canny to Keig. 5. The Committee shall have the sole power of fixing the Premiums to be awarded by the Association, and of carrying out the arrangements of the compe- titions. Disputes acceptable only from the Exhibitor or his stockman in charge of an exhibit must be lodged at the Secretary’s Tent before 1 p.m. on Show Day, along with the deposit of £5 which will be returned if the complaint is upheld. A Committee consisting of the President, or Vice-President, the Show’s Veterinary Surgeon, and Secretary, will give their decision which will be final. If the President is an exhibitor in the Class involved in the dispute the Vice-President will deputise for him or vice versa. 6. All Stock must be the property of the Exhibitor on or before 1st June on the year to be shown, and must be free from any infectious disease such as Colds, Coughs, Ringworm, or any skin disease. 7. Entries for Summer Show of Livestock must be lodged with the Secretary 14 days before the Show, on entry forms which will be supplied on application. No late entries. 8. The gate of Showyard will be open from 8.00 a.m. to 10 a.m. on the morn- ing of the Show for receiving exhibits, and for the admission of competing mem- bers, attendants, and officials only. All horses and ponies must be placed before 9.00 am and all other exhibits before 9.30 am when the judging will commence. 9. All Stock is under the responsibility of Exhibitors and their Attendants. They must obey the Orders of the Committee and Show Officials in the Showyard. 10. The public will be charged for admission to the Showyard and Members of the Association will require to show their Membership Ticket at the gate. 4 11. The Age and Breed of any Animal entered must, if required, be proved to the satisfaction of the Committee - Tickets with their ages may be affixed to animals by Exhibitors. The age of Livestock will be reckoned from 1st December unless otherwise stated, and animals must compete as stock of the year follow- ing that day, or in the class of Animals a year older. All one year old Cattle show- ing any indication of hard teeth will not be eligible to compete as yearlings. 12. Animals competing as Cows must be either in milk or in calf. Animals competing as Ewes must be in milk. 13. Points Prizes: In all Points Competitions - 1st prize, 3 pts; 2nd prize 2 pts; 3rd prize 1 pt. 14. All Livestock Exhibitors must be members of the Association. Member’s fee must be paid not later than the morning of the Show. 15. All Judges shall report to Secretary’s Tent on morning of Show by 9.00 a.m. 16. Any member exhibiting Stock not in accordance with Rules shall forfeit all Prizes to which he may be entitled. The Committee has powers to remove his name from list of members. 17. Breed Society rules must be adhered to. 18. This Premium List is published and the Show will run subject to any orders that may be issued by the Ministry or Local Authorities. Any permits that may be required for movement of Stock must be obtained by the Exhibitor. 19. All entrants to Cattle Health Scheme (E.B.L.) Sheep (M/V) and Goats (C.A.E.) approved Sections of the Show, must be accompanied by appropriate Certificate of Official Health Status. 20. Horses may be examined by Veterinary Surgeon on morning of Show. 21. All Cattle exhibitors must produce passports for signature by a show official. *22. All Stock must remain in the Showyard until 3 p.m. on the day of the Show. * This regulation must be strictly observed by all Exhibitors 23. All Trophies must be returned before or on show day. If you do not return in this timescale there will be a fee charged. If a trophy is lost you must inform the secretary or president and a fee will be charged for replacement of said trophy/trophies. NO ONE UNDER AGE 16 TO TAKE CATTLE ROUND THE MAIN PARADE RING. Member’s Ticket will be issued for first 2 entries and Stockman Passes will be issued for every 2 subsequent entries.
