Chairman’s Statement Welcome to the Annual Report for University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust for the year from 1 April 2010 to 31 March 2011. The Governors and I were delighted to appoint Robert Woolley as Chief Executive of the Trust in September 2010. Robert is providing the Trust with strong leadership as it moves into a time of significant change for the NHS: alterations to funding regimes and changes to the commissioning of services both come at a time of acute economic challenge. The year closes at 31st March with the Trust in a strong financial position and reporting an amber- green
