Announcement from Chulalongkorn University Admission to the Bachelor of Arts in Economics (International Program) Faculty of Economics For the Academic Year 2021 (Admission - Second Round) ----------------------------------------------------- The Chulalongkorn University has authorized the Bachelor of Arts in Economics (International Program), Faculty of Economics, to select applicants for the Academic Year 2021 (Admission). 1. Qualification of Applicants Applicants must have completed or presently be enrolled in their final year of high school, or the equivalent. 1.1. Applicants must submit all of the following three required documents and meet all three requirements. 1.1.1. Transcript of high school or the equivalent with a minimum GPAX of 2.75 1.1.2. One of the following English proficiency test scores: IELTS with a minimum band of 6.0 or TOEFL (Internet Based) with a minimum score of 79 or CU-TEP with a minimum score of 79 or CU-AAT (Verbal) with a minimum score of 400 or SAT (Evidence-Based Reading and Writing) with a minimum score of 450 1.1.3. One of the following Mathematics test scores: CU-AAT (Math) with a minimum score of 600 or SAT (Math) with a minimum score of 650 or SAT Subject (Math Level II) with a minimum score of 650 or IB (Math HL) with a minimum score of 6 or A-Level (Math) with a minimum grade of B Applicants who wish to apply by using CU-AAT (Verbal) and CU-AAT (Math) or SAT (Evidence- Based Reading & Writing) and SAT (Math) must submit the scores of both parts from the same test occasion. The official score report of the tests in 1.1.2 and 1.1.3 is valid only if the tests were taken no more than two years prior to the application deadline. - 2 - 1.2. Applicants must have a history of good behavior and agree to abide strictly by existing and any future University regulations, codes and policies. If there is evidence shown later that the applicant does not meet the requirements or gave false information, the application will be rejected whether or not an offer has already been made. In addition, the applicant may be prosecuted, according to law. Applicants who have done the enrollment confirmation in the first round (Early Admission) of TCAS64 are ineligible to apply for this round (Admission). 2. Number of Admitted Applicants The Bachelor of Arts in Economics (International Office), Faculty of Economics, is authorized to admit up to 70 qualified applicants. 3. Application Procedure and Packet 4.1 Application Procedure Qualified applicants who meet the requirements in step 1 may apply online as follows: 4.1.1 Enter data online through the website http://www.eba.econ.chula.ac.th/Admission 4.1.2 The applicants upload the certified required documents from item 4.2 in the system. 4.1.3 The application fee payment of non-refundable 1,500 baht can be made to Siam Commercial Bank, account number 468-022701-8, account name “Faculty of Economics, Chulalongkorn University” or via Digital Banking of Siam Commercial Bank (SCB Easy or SCB ATM). The form can be downloaded at http://www.eba.econ.chula.ac.th/Admission. 4.1.4 Applicants are required to check all required documents before submitting the application form. The application will not be able to update once it has been submitted. Applicants are required to check if they meet all requirements according to the admission announcement. If there are any mistakes incurred by the applicants or application packets do not meet desirable qualifications, the applicants will be disqualified. 4.2 Application Packet Applicants must submit the required documents as follows: 4.2.1 Completed application forms for the Bachelor of Arts in Economics, Faculty of Economics for the Academic Year 2021 (Admission Round). 4.2.2 One 1-inch-sized photograph (full-faced view directly in student uniform or polite attire taken no longer than 6 months ago. Hat and sunglasses are not allowed.) 4.2.3 One certified copy of identification card for Thai citizen or one certified copy of passport for non- Thai citizen 4.2.4 One certified copy of name/surname change certificate (if any) 4.2.5 High school diploma and transcript or the equivalent and one set of certified copies 4.2.6 Enrollment certificate (only for those who have not yet fulfilled all requirements for a high school diploma) - 4 - 4.2.7 Exam results of English proficiency test scores according to item 1.1.2. 4.2.7.1 If an applicant selects the IELTS exam, the result must be sent by its testing center directly to the Bachelor of Arts in Economics (International Program). Please use the code for Chulalongkorn University-EBA Program Faculty of Economics. 4.2.7.2 If an applicant selects the TOEFL, the result must be sent by ETS directly to the Bachelor of Arts in Economics (International Program). Please use the code for the Chulalongkorn EBA Program C886. 4.2.7.3 If an applicant selects the CU-TEP or CU-AAT (Verbal) exam, the original score report issued by Chulalongkorn University Academic Testing Center must be submitted. The score report can be obtained at Chulalongkorn University Academic Testing Center, 3rd floor Chamchuri 8. 4.2.7.4 If an applicant selects the SAT, the result must be sent by College Board directly to the Bachelor of Arts in Economics ( International Program). Please use the code for Chulalongkorn EBA Program 9080. 4.2.8 Exam results of Mathematics test scores according to item 1.1.3 4.2.8.1 If an applicant selects the CU-AAT (Math) exam, the original score report issued by Chulalongkorn University Academic Testing Center must be submitted. The score report can be obtained at Chulalongkorn University Academic Testing Center, 3rd floor Chamchuri 8. 4.2.8.2 If an applicants selects SAT/SAT Subject, the result must be sent by College Board directly to the Bachelor of Arts in Economics (International Program). Please use the code for Chulalongkorn EBA Program 9080. 4.2.8.3 If the applicant selects the IB (Math HL) or A-Level (Math), please use the certified copy of IB (Math HL) or A-Level (Math). 4.2.9 Proof of application fee payment by providing pay-in slip with official SCB stamp (printed from http://www.eba.econ.chula.ac.th/Admission in item 4.1.3), or proof of payment via online banking (SCB Easy), or transfer slip for SCT ATM. The applicants must submit all documents in the applicant packet. An incomplete application packet will not be considered. Applications will only be considered if applicants submit all required documents. The application fee is non-refundable once the application form has been submitted. - 5 - 5 Selection Criteria 5.1 Evaluation Criteria for Interview Shortlist Eligible applicants for the interview will be evaluated on the basis of all three requirements and documents on the basis of requirement 4.2. 5.2 Interview Shortlist Announcement Applicants shortlist for interview will be announced not more than 250 applicants, based on overall scores according to item 4.2.7 and 4.2.8. on April 9, 2021 at the website http://www.eba.econ.chula.ac.th. Details of interview will be included in the announcement. Applicants shortlist for interview may be more than 250 applicants in case of the last shortlist applicant has same scores. 5.3 Interview Online interviews for the eligible applicants will be held on April 17, 2021, during 09:00-16:00 hrs. Those who fail to interview will be considered as waiving their rights for admission to the program. 5.4 Selection Criteria Eligible applicants will be evaluated on the basis of all three requirements in item 4.2 and the interview scores.
