INFORMATION SERVICES mm UNIVERSITY OF MONTANA vs MISSOULA, MONTANA 59801 Phone (406) 243-2522 For Saturday a.m, release schwanke *1-25-68 sports one & minor GRIZZLY GOLFERS TO FACE CATS, BENGALS SATURDAY IN BOZEMAN MISSOULA— Six University of Montana golfers, sporting five wins and one loss on the season, w ill be in Bozeman Saturday to play against Montana State's Bobcats and Idaho State's B engals. Coach Jack Miller w ill use the same six men who played last weekend, when the G rizzlies' only loss was at the hands of the University of Idaho Vandals. The Tips heat Eastern Washington twice, and Whitman College, Gonzaga University and Whitworth College once each. Playing for the Silvertips w ill he Rick Carpenter of Missoula, number one; Skip K opravica o f B utte, number tw o; Jim O’ Connor o f M issoula, number th re e ; B i l l Rapp o f M issoula, number fo u r ; Bob P ilo t e o f Danvers, M ass., number f i v e , and K its Smith o f Lewistown, number s ix . In match play so far this spring, Carpenter has won three, lost one and tied two; Kopravica has won three and lost three; O’Connor has won four and lost two; Rapp has won none, lost five and tied one; Pilote has won five and lost one, and Smith has wpn four and lo s t two. Miller was extremely pleased with last weekend's performances. "All of the boys played pretty well considering the generally poor playing conditions and the bad weather which has limited our practice in Missoula," Miller said. 30.
