Dinner in a local typical restaurant. DAY 2 – October 8th ANGHIARI - CORTONA Anghiari is a famous medieval village that preserves its original look. Visit this beautiful treasure means to discover the times of the Middle Ages in Tuscany. Anghiari, a characteristic village enclosed in massive 13th century walls, preserves the ancient and original atmosphere of small medieval towns. Walking around its narrow streets, you can breathe the air of its history and glory. The stone houses overlooking the streets have small windows, wooden shutters and doors, sometimes damaged or broken, but still characteristic. The entrances and balconies of the houses are often decorated with flowers which color the narrow streets of Anghiari, making it more beautiful and charming. Anghiari is considered one of the "most beautiful villages in Italy". Transfer to the Abbey of La Verna and guided visit of the abbey. Transfer to Chiusi della Verna and start of the cycling tour (ca. 30 km) from Chiusi della Verna to Anghiari. The cycling tour will include professional guides and minivan support with fruit and fresh beverages on board. Cycling tour difficult: Easy. Time in saddle: about 3 hours. Your route for Day 2: Stop for light lunch in Caprese Michelangelo and visit of the village. Arrival in Anghiari and transfer to Hotel in Cortona, free time to visit Cortona. Dinner in Hotel. DAY 3 – October 9th CORTONA - FLORENCE Start of the cycling tour (ca. 40 km) from Cortona. Time in saddle: about 4 hours Your route for Day 3: Stop for light lunch in Foiano della Chiana and visit of the village.
