Written by Zella Compton, directed by Ms Jones and using the words and experiences of veterans, Five Beaches tells the story of the soldiers who left the shores of Britain to land on the German occupied beaches of Normandy in June 1944. The first performances took place at the D-Day Story, Portsmouth on Sunday 5 May and Explosion Museum, Gosport on Monday 6 May to rave reviews – even resulting in an impromptu interview with BBC Radio Solent!
