t t t 10 a.m.–4 p.m. t t Sunday, t t July 17, t SHELBURNE MUSEUM PROUDLY PRESENTS 2016 t t t CIRCUS-PALOOZA t t SPECIAL FEATURES t t PAPERING THE TOWN with KORY ROGERS 10:30 a.m., 12 p.m. & 3 p.m. Join curator Kory Rogers as he shares the amazing stories behind many of the posters featured in our newest exhibition Papering the Town: Circus Posters in America. Pizzagalli Center for Art and Education UNDER THE BIG TOP 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Witness fanciful feats by former Cirque du Soleil & Ringling Brothers performers, aerialists, jugglers, stilt walkers, and magicians from Wunderle’s Big Top Adventures. Shows run approximately 20 minutes. Circus Building lawn CLOWN ALLEY: CIRCUS SKILLS & CLOWNING with GIGI WEISMAN and MICHELLE LEFKOWITZ 1–4 p.m. Come play with Gigi and Michelle as you learn juggling, hula hooping and general clowning around. Hoops available for purchase: $15–$20 Lawn east of the Ticonderoga CIRCUS ARTS RISING STARS 1:30 p.m. Take in a performance by the youthful participants from the morning’s Circus Smirkus circus arts workshop. Circus Building lawn MODERN TIMES THEATER 2 p.m. Marvel at “Punch’s Predicament” An ever-changing and constantly evolving hand puppet melodrama chronicles the misadventures of Mr. Punch, the world’s best-loved and most rascally hand puppet. The program, by husband and wife duo Rose Friedman and Justin Lander, also features live music, sing-a-longs, classic jokes and gags, and audience participation. Pizzagalli Center for Art and Education auditorium FACE PAINTING with Hyper Focus 10:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m. “Because face painting is awesome!” $3 2 locations! General Store porch and lawn east of the Ticonderoga CONCESSION STAND 11 a.m.–3 p.m. Fuel up with mouth-watering grill items, ice cream and bottled water, available for purchase. Dutton House lawn CIRCUS ON THE GO Encounter strolling performers—stilt walkers, magicians, jugglers, and more. Museum grounds SOUVENIR STAND Pick up a tasty snack and a memento (or two) of your day! Cotton candy, popcorn, juggling balls and more! Circus Building lawn CIRCUS REST STOP Take a break from the festivities and enjoy a circus-themed book. Owl Cottage Activity Center CIRCUS BUILDING Visit the Roy Arnold Circus Parade and the Kirk Bros. Circus and view the dazzling array of carousel figures. Circus Building TAKE A RIDE Ride the Museum’s historic Herschel Spillman carousel. Weather permitting. Carousel ENJOY A SNACK OR LUNCH Café.
