Our NEWS EDITOR Walter Eibl has recently suggested that we should establish a separate mediumwave news section in our DX MAGAZINE. This would need a separate new editor for this section. If anyone among you is a mediumwave specialist and is willing to compile this new section for us, please do not hesitate to contact me. And now let's start with our usual news from outside the club - only one item this month: The EUROPEAN DX COUNCIL would like to invite you to the EDXC Conference 2014 to be held in the Southern France on 19-22 September 2014. The first part of the conference (19-21 September) will take place in a beautiful small village Saint-Dalmas de Tende situated approximately 80 km North-East from Nice. The latter part of the conference (21-22 September) will take place in the city of Nice. It is understandable that people are coming from and going to different places and different times. That is why we will try to be very flexible with the conference packages. The price for the basic package will be around 175 € (single) / 120 € (double) including: Accommodation (2 nights in Saint-Dalmas de Tende), Banquet dinner, 2 Coffee breaks and the Conference fee. If you have anything to ask, please, do not hesitate to contact Kari <[email protected]> or the main organizer Mr. Christian Ghibaudo <[email protected]>. More information and the preliminary programme can be found also on the EDXC blog at: <http://edxcnews.wordpress.com/category/edxc-conference-2014>. Once again, we would like to see you at EDXC conference 2014 in September. You are warmly welcome!
