I began my career studying VFX specialization at Bangalore Takshaa academe of the artist, in 2005. I managed to finish the course just as the industry began to collapse in 2009. Like many Visual effect artists at that time, I made the switch to camera tracking working for Hollywood Movies and commercials. One of the initial movies I worked on was X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009). Later on, I have joined MPC in 2010 as a Junior matchmove artist and from there onwards I have moved to Prime focus and then Dneg. EXPERIENCE APR 2017 – PRESENT MATCMOVE DEPT. SUPERVISOR(ASSISTANT HOD), DNEG (Formerly known as Assistant Head of Camera) (Formerly Overall Department Supervisor) What I do So in a nutshell I'm here to make the working life of a Double negative camera track as efficient as possible. My job is to make sure that the pipeline is as camera-track-friendly as possible. My role is to liaise with the camera track and body track, Camera Supervisors, Discipline Supervisors, Production and Production Technology to improve what doesn't work for us in the pipe, suggest better methods to improve workflow and consult on the development and completion of those improvements. On a Show level and a SITE level, my aim is to make sure camera track artist and sups spend their time delivering work on time with good quality, Also my job is to bridge the communication gap between the client's vision and the camera track team. AUG 2017 – MAR 2019 MATCMOVE AND LAYOUT TECHNICAL SUPERVISOR, DNEG What I have done I had enjoyed this role, as I always keen to learn new stuff from different departments. This is where I got a chance to know lot more from different pipeline structure, even I was aware how the layout and other departments works but not in detail and also started working on some of the layout shots as well at the same time. I have made lot of changes in Camera, Bodytrack and Layout pipeline to smooth the workflow in all the department. Also helps Camera, BT and Layout to make some new tools to speedup workflow. AUG 2015 – MAR 2017 MATCHMOVE SUPERVISOR, DNEG What I have done As a Matchmove Supervisor at Double Negative, my job was to bridge the communication gap between the client's vision and the camera track team. I also provide the Camera track team and sup’s with artistic and technical guidance about the 3dequalizer and photofit we are tasked with cameratracking.. I think of the relationship between a cameratrack Supervisor and artist as very much like a Superhero and his Sidekick. Only in this case, the cameratrack is the Superhero and I am the Sidekick, helping to guide the performance without taking the spotlight, and keep the cameratrack out of harm's way. AUG 2014 – AUG 2015 MATCHMOVE SUPERVISOR, PRIME FOCUS WORLD I had enjoyed my first Supervising role on “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2”. It was amazing crazy anamorphic show along with Michael karp. I had learned a lot about how to handle complexes anamorphic shows. After this show I have worked a lot on other complex anamorphic project which I were able to take care very smoothly without any issues. Also with help of Hunger game project we taught a lot of thing to team with help of scrums and training to grow out their technical skills, how they can handle or deal with complexes shots and because of this project we build a lot of amazing tools in 3de as well. FEB 2010 – AUG 2014 MATCHMOVE LEAD, MPC In MPC I have started my career again in matchmove. Initially I was not aware with the 3dequalizer, So I have learnt about the software along with the production shots. I was very dedicated artist in MPC. I grow very fast, So with in 3 years I got lead position, where I was looking into the show as assistant lead and then later on start looking the entire show single handed. Form there onwards I never had a look at back and keep growing my skill and talent. JAN 2008 – FEB 2010 CG GENERALIST, ITINNA ANIMATION STUDIO Reporting to VFX supervisor I was working in camera tracking, Modeling and particle simulation as well. I wrought some of the scripts in MEL for particle driven. I worked on one the movie in this studio and most of the commercial work like Cadbury, SWISS, STEREO video song…etc. 2 EDUCATION 2005 - 2008 VFX CORE SPECIALIZATION PROGRAMME DIPLOMA, TAKSHAA - THE ACADEMY FOR THE ARTIST I have done my intro to CG and VFX specialization in Dynamic I have done from Takshaa one of the best institute I have seen in india. They taught me alot of things and our final demo real goes for one of the VFX sup’s jury. 2002 - 2005 BACHELOR OF COMPUTER APPLICATION, KEEN COLLEGE, BIKANER I have completed my graduation from Keen College in computer science. I have learned C, C++, Java and other programing from this college, which later helps a lot to learn MEL, PYTHON and other languages. The overall training department style I use to take care. I have also given lots of tech-ops to make sure the entire department should be aware with new tools like 3de/Maya tools, Stereo, and Unreal as well. 3 VISITED AT LONDON OFFICE IN 2018 I got a chance to visit at DNEG office in London to introduce myself with all the department HOD, VFX, and CG supervisor for all the shows to understand the challenges they are facing from the Indian side and to make it more better communication and workflow. Even I meet with all the key peoples in the TV department as well. I Also learn Layout workflow in the Layout department and meet with Layout Global HOD to make things better and centralized. The entire tour was amazing and I learn a lot of things to add to my skill and improve through the management and technical both sides.
