Our Themed Days: Ice Age Archaeology: Creswell Crags and Beyond Vertebrate Palaeontology: The Pleistocene World Early Humans and Creativity: The Origins of Art* Day Package Includes: Intro to Palaeoanthropology: Human Evolution 101 We can run weekend trip schedules run from 10am until 4pm for groups of up to 28 persons (*12 for Early Humans and Creativity), and weekday trip sched- ules between 12pm until 4pm. Exhibition Access £60 plus £6.50 per person 3 Early Humans and Creativity: The Origins of Art If you are intrigued by the origins of art and creativity, this day package is for you. Come to see our unique 13,000 year old engravings in Church Hole and hear the tale of their discovery. Compare what you have seen with Day Package Includes: beautiful examples of the earliest art from across the Rock Art Cave Tour world. How did early humans express themselves? Who Guided Talk were these “artists”? And why make art at all? Exhibition Access £60 plus £7.50 per person Early Man and Creativity can only run between March to October owing to access restrictions in Church Hole Cave. Intro to Palaeoanthropology: Human Evolution 101 Learn about human evolution in this fascinating story of how we came to be. Explore 7 million years of humanity as it develops, meet the ancestors in a fossil cast handling Day Package Includes: session and see how anthropologists understand the fossil record. Take a tour in Robin Hood Cave, home to both Life In The Ice Age Cave Tour our own species and the extinct Neanderthals back in the Guided Talk Ice Age. Are we truly descended from apes? What makes Hominid Fossil Cast Handling us human? And how can we tell? Exhibition Access £60 plus £6.50 per person 4 Hire a Speaker Do you need a speaker to come to you? We are happy to speak at your meeting or event, delivering one of the one-hour talks from our trip programme. Speakers can travel up to 25 miles from Creswell Crags. We operate a sliding cost scale, dependent on how far you are from our centre in Creswell.
