MAUDE & TUNNICLIFFK CYFREITHWYR, LINCOLN'S INN, LLUNDAIN RECORDS DEPOSITED BY MESSRS. MAUDE & TUNNICLIFFE SOLICITORS. LINCOLN'S INN. LONDON Marc Catalog: XD17/ Catalogue Mark: XD/17 Caernarfon Gwasanaeth Archifau Gwynedd Gwynedd Archives Srvice 1987 Dosbarthwyd cofnodion Maude & Tunnicliffe gan y Comisiwn Brenhinol ar Lawysgrifau Hanesyddol ym 1958, i'r archifdai priodol. Yma ceir dau gasgliad ar wahan mewn gwirionedd: (a) Cofnodion teulu Roberts (wedyn Wynne). Deuai'r teulu Wynne o Blasnewydd a Garthmeilio, Sir Ddinbych, ac fe briododd Robert Wynne ag etifeddes Brynyneuadd, Mary Roberts, ym 1751. Ail wraig i'w wyr (John Wynne) yw'r Ann Fry o Strood, Swydd Gaint, y mae cymaint o son am ei theulu yma. Wyr i John Wynne o'i briodas gyntaf yw S.P. Lynes. Mae gweithredoedd yma'n son am eiddo ym mhlwyfi Llanfairfechan, Caerhun, Llangelynnin, Llanbedrycennin a Chonwy. (b) Cofnodion teulu Sampson. Daeth y teulu o Loegr (bu un yn offeiriad yn Ripley, Swydd Efrog, ac eraill yn byw yng Nghaerfaddon) ond priododd un aelod, Charles Johns Sampson ag Emily Jane Wynne o deulu Garthewin, Sir Ddinbych, ar ol iddo symud i Aberdunant ger Tremadog. Er i'w disgynyddion symud hwnt ac yma, cedwyd cartref yn Sir Gaernarfon - am hir, yn y Tower House, Cae Coch, Bryn-y-mor ac wedyn Marianfa, Caernarfon. Serch hyn, mae llawer o'r papurau'n ymdrin a materion teuluol megis eiddo ymddiriedol yn Wandsworth, Swydd Surrey. Catalogwyd gan: Anne Lovell, Archifydd Cynorthwyol Uwch; a Gareth Haulfryn Williams, Dirprwy Archifydd y Sir. The Maude & Tunnicliffe records were distributed by the Historical Manuscripts Commission to the appropriate record offices in 1958. There are two separate groups of records listed here. (a) Roberts (later Wynne) family records. The Wynne family originated in Plas Newydd and Garthmeilio, co. Denbs., and Robert Wynne married Mary Roberts, the heiress of Brynyneuadd, Llanfairfechan in 1751. The Ann Fry of Strood, Kent, frequently mentioned here was second wife to their grandson John Wynne. S.P. Lynes was grand son to John Wynne and his first wife. The deeds listed here refer to Llanfairfechan, Caerhun, Llangelynnin, Llanbedrycennin and Conwy. (b) Sampson family records. The family was English (one being a parish priest in Ripley, co. Yorks, and othrs living in Bath) but one member, Charles Johns Sampson, married Emily Jane Wynne of the Garthewin, co. Denbs., family, after he moved to Aberdunant near Tremadog. Although their descendants moved to various parts, a home was maintained in Caernarfonshire - for many years at the Tower House, and later at Cae Coch, Bryn-y-Mor and Marianfa, Caernarfon. Despite this, many of the papers refer to family matters such as their trust property in Wandsworth, co. Surrey.
