PRESS RELEASE 20.01.2017 Tropical Islands at „Ferie for Alle 2017” in Denmark From 24 th to 26th February, Tropical Islands, Europe’s largest tropical holiday world, will be presented at the Danish travel show „Ferie for Alle 2017” in Herning, Denmark. During the last years, the number of guests at Tropical Islands from outside Germany has increased steadily. In 2015 and 2016, there was a remarkable rise in the number of guests from Denmark, so that now they form the second largest target group for guests from abroad. At “Ferie for Alle 2017”, Julia Dus and Patrick Ullrich will provide visitors and business guests with further information about the Tropical Islands and possibilities for cooperation. The exact position of the stand is at M9930 at hall M. At Tropical Islands, Asia and the Pacific region, Africa and South America all come together under one roof. Open all-year 24 hours a day, Tropical Islands attracts families with or without children and grown-ups of all ages. At temperatures of around 26 degrees Celsius the weather is always pleasant. The holiday resort is located between Berlin and Dresden and situated in one of the largest self-supporting halls in the world. Strolling along the sandy beach at the tropical sea, taking a dip into the lagoon with waterfall and grotto, going for a walk in the world’s largest indoor rainforest or sliding down Germany’s highest waterslide tower – the tropical world offers lots of space for relaxation and fun at the same time. 13 restaurants and bars offer different types of food and drinks for every taste; most of them are located at the Tropical Village in authentic tropical buildings. Children can find their own play world at the Tropino Club for kids. At the Sauna and Spa Complex guests can choose from seven different areas. The saunas, steam baths and treatment rooms are all set in a stunning tropical location in buildings inspired by the architecture of various famous cultural sites around the world, including the Angkor Wat temple complex in Cambodia, the Waiotapu geysers in New Zealand and the Elephanta Temple in India. Since May 2016, guests can not only enjoy attractions inside the huge hall but also step outside. The new outdoor area Tropical Islands AMAZONIA, which visitors can enter directly from inside the dome, offers an additional area of 35.000 square metres. Here, guests can find numerous water attractions, vast lying surfaces for 2.500 people as well as plenty facilities for sportive activities and gastronomy. Central highlight of the new outdoor area is the Whitewater River, a streaming channel that winds its way through the landscape on a length of 250 metres. The water temperature of the Whitewater River as well as of the pools is around 31 degrees Celsius. Also during wintertime, one of the pools and the Whitewater River are opened, making the new outdoor area an all-year attraction. Tropical Islands Resort offers a wide range of comfortable accommodations – inside the dome there are around 200 rooms and 140 tents available. Just a few minutes’ walk from the Tropical Islands hall there is the resort’s own outdoor campsite with pitches for caravans, campervans and tents as well as tepees. On a separate area of the campsite, guests can stay in 83 comfortable Mobile Homes. Tropical Islands – Press Office Janet Schulz Tel.: 035477 – 60 50 40 [email protected] www.tropical-islands.de .
