A good number of M. Phil. and Ph.D. Dissertations have been done in this discipline. Archaeology is an inter-disciplinary subject for addressing various academic/research requirements. The Department has been collaborating frequently with the School of Physics, Department of Chemistry and the department of Earth Sciences of the Sambalpur University, besides institute of Physics Bhubaneswar, Birbal Sahni Institute of Palaeobotany Lucknow and Department of Archaeology Deccan College Post Graduate and Research Institute, Pune. 6.
