A perfectly good job but not one she was passionate about. In 2009 she tried stand-up comedy. In 2011 she won the BBC New Comedy Award and her new comedy career took off. In 2016 Angela will make her NZ International Comedy Festival powered by Flick Electric Co. debut as part of The Big Show line-up as well as performing her acclaimed solo show in The Classic Studio from Tues 3 to Sat 7 May and at VK’s in Wellington from Tues 10 to Sat 14 May. Since her breakout in 2011, Angela and her witty world view have catapulted on to numerous radio and television shows including appearances on Channel 4’s Stand Up For the Week as a weekly regular, on BBC3’s Russell Howard’s Good News, BBC Radio 2’s Russell Kane’s Whistle Stop Tour, and BBC Radio 4’s The Now Show and Loose Ends.
