In August of 1989, paired with Cheryl Daniels they captured Chairpersons the LPBT Championship Doubles Tournament. She has an 803 Series and 3—300 games. Local titles Awards include: 1st Place in the IWBA State Singles and All Events Champion. Stewart for Meritorious Service. Roger has many accomplishments that include several Lawannah Hammond honor scores and a second place finish in the Hoinke Singles Event. Special Events Program Margaret Whitehead Angela “Angie” Reed was awarded “Bowler of the Year”. Angie began bowling at the tender age of 8. In 2003, she won the Dears Singles Classic in Cleveland, OH. That same year, Angie won the 2nd Annual Sweetest Day Mixed Doubles Tournament in Chicago. In 2006, Angie came in 2nd place in the Bill Rhodman Central Scratch Singles Tournament in Detroit, MI and 3rd place in the Canadian Club Scratch Singles Tournament in Cleveland, OH. Angie was awarded “Bowler of the Year” by the Chicago Bowling Senate for 2005/2006 and again in 2006/2007 re- named Joan McDuffie Bowler of the Year Award. Angie has 4—300 games. Angie is also currently a member of TNBA. Inside this issue: As a special mention, Carmen E. Phason was inducted “In Memoriam”. Carmen loved the sport of Senate News 1 bowling. She loved it so much that at one point she bowled in 5 leagues on 5 different nights. That Scooby’s On Point 2 was a lot considering Carmen did dialysis three times a week. Her highest game ever was 286 and (Jan-Feb 2008 Issue) her highest series 700 plus. Carmen began working at Lakewood Bowl in 1997. She became a man- Senate High Scores 2-3 ager, and loved working there; and continued to do so until her last day on earth. Carmen’s hus- band, Robert, noted that he was disappointed that he never had the opportunity to see her shoot a Tournaments & Events 4-5 perfect game. Family and friends expressed that although Carmen is gone from us, her dedication, and passion for the sport of bowling will forever be present.
