SILVER SPRAY / SOOKEPOINT DIRECTIONS GPS setting: 1000 Silver Spray Drive, Sooke BC 39 Miles (63 Km/58 Minutes) From Swartz Bay Ferry Or The Airport: 1. Take Hwy# 17 (Patricia Bay Hwy.) South toward Victoria, but EXIT at McKenzie Rd. & Turn Right. 2. Follow McKenzie Rd. to Hwy# 1 (Trans Canada Highway) Turn Right (Westbound) 3. Drive West on Hwy# 1 - Stay in Right Lane 4. Take Colwood / Sooke Exit to Hwy# 14 (Old Island Hwy# 1A which joins Sooke Rd.) 5. Stay on Hwy# 14 past Colwood, Langford, Glen Lake & Metchosin 6. Watch on Right side for signs “Olde English Pub”, “Historic Pub” and “Beer & Wine off-sales”. 7. Immediately past this white Pub & Restaurant called the ‘17 Mile House’ TURN LEFT on Gillespie Road. Look for the SookePoint sign. 8. Follow Gillespie Road to EAST SOOKE and continue until the road ends in a T. 9. Look for the SookePoint sign and Turn Right onto EAST SOOKE ROAD. 10. Stay on East Sooke Road as the numbers increase past 7000 (Go to 7000 if lost) 11. Stay on paved road only until the end and turn LEFT onto Silver Spray Drive. You’ll see the big Silver Spray / SookePoint sign. 12. Follow Silver Spray Drive for more than a kilometer until you come to the second set of Granite Columns and SookePoint signs, 13. Follow the signs to the Parking Area to start the Tour. 26 Miles (42 Km/45 Minutes) From Downtown Victoria: 1. Take Douglas St. North (just 1 block from the Inner Harbour). 2. As Douglas St. leaves the city, it becomes Hwy# 1, Then Follow directions from 3. above. 83 MILES (133 Km/ 1 Hour + 55 Minutes) From NANAIMO FERRY: 1. Take HWY#1 SOUTH, following signs toward Victoria (Reset your odometer to zero on the ferry.) 2. After 98 kilometers, just past Goldspring Park, Exit onto HWY# 1A toward Langford, Colwood & Sooke 3. After 103 kilometers, turn Right on HWY# 14 WEST toward “Glen Lake/Sooke” Follow directions from 5. above. RETURNING To The SWARTZ BAY FERRY: 1. Follow East Sooke Road 8.2 km. and TURN LEFT on GILLESPIE RD at sign “To Route 14 - Victoria”. 2. Go North to road’s end and TURN RIGHT TOWARD VICTORIA on HWY# 14 “Sooke Road”. 3. Stay on this road past Colwood until it becomes Hwy#1A, the Old Island Highway. 4. Merge left onto HWY# 1 near the bridge where these two highways connect. 5. Exit to the North (Left) onto your choice of Helmcken or MCKENZIE 6. Turn LEFT on HWY# 17 NORTH (Patricia Bay Highway) and follow the signs to the Ferry Terminal. .
