II INTRODUCTION THE PROBLEM: As part of continuing the healing mission of Jesus, the Catholic Church provides pastoral care services. Those Catholics in need of pastoral care services require pastoral care ministry providers with diverse competencies, including but not limited to board certified chaplains, priests, permanent
