We are recommending this bidder for the following reasons: (1) During the qualification of the scope of work included in this package, JRJ Construction/MMI was able to clearly demonstrate the completeness of the Millwork & Flooring scope with minimal or no modifications. For this reason, we have advised the county to award this scope to Waypoint Construction. The award recommendation proposed by the CMa does not include line item guarantees and does not constitute costs for all unforeseen or hidden conditions within the project scopes of work. The recommended apparent low bidder for this scope of work may have future additions / deductions associated with Value Engineering (VE) options being considered in the overall reduction of the project cost. As CMa, we will work with the design team to review apparent low bidder adds / credits for these changes. However, the absolute assurance that ALL costs will be recognized in these changes can NOT be guaranteed.
