Senior women 44 Senior men 47 GUFC 2008 Yearbook, Page 2 of 47 President’s report GUFC committee By Stewart Teal Our numbers were much the same as last year but we 2008 Management committee fielded 117 teams as small sided games were introduced for the younger players including the under President Stewart Teal 9's. This concept was very successful and will lay the Vice President Bryan Molan foundation for skills and knowledge of football to be Hon Secretary Eileen Ward enhanced in the future. Hon Treasurer Michael Blumor Senior Registrar Julie Molan Well done to all the teams who took part in the finals Junior Registrar Cathy Economos series. Our congratulations to all the winners and, to Gear Officer Deanne Landers the losers, better luck next season. Our 12A, 21E, Asst Gear Officer Wayne Phillips JW14B, JW18B/1, SWG and AL10 teams are Runners- Ground Controller vacant up, our 21C, JW12A and AL14's are Minor Premiers & Asst Controller vacant Runners-up, the 12E's, 14A's and 35C's are Premiers Canteen Supervisor Alissa Teal and the AL2/1's are Minor Premiers & Premiers. We Asst Canteen Supervisor vacant are all very proud of you. Social Secretary vacant Publicity Officer Steve Dolheguy 2009 is our 50th year and should be a beauty. PHOTO: GUFC trivia night March 29 and 30: Season starts On a beautiful Autumn weekend, season 2008 kicked Early June: GUFC on TV off in fine style, with over 17,000 eager footballers GUFC players and families star on the SBS show taking to fields across the Shire. GUFC teams were full Football Stars of Tomorrow. The show filmed at the of enthusiasm.
