The annex to the present note contains the calendar of conferences and meetings of the United Nations for 2021, as adopted by the General Assembly in paragraph 2 of section I of its resolution 75/244 and taking into account other resolutions and decisions adopted by the Assembly at its seventy-fifth session. 2. The calendar of conferences and meetings of the principal organs of the specialized agencies, the International Atomic Energy Agency and treaty bodies established under the auspices of the United Nations for 2021 also forms part of the annex. 3. In paragraphs 5 and 6 of section I of its resolution 75/244, the General Assembly noted with satisfaction that the Secretariat had taken into account the arrangements referred to in its previous resolutions on the pattern of conferences concerning Orthodox Good Friday, Yom Kippur, the Day of Vesak, Diwali, Gurpurab, Orthodox Christmas, Nowruz and the official holidays of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. In 2021, those days occur on the dates set out in the table below, as confirmed by the Office of Human Resources.
