The reception begins at 5 p.m. at The University of Alabama Student Recreation Center’s Student Activity Center. The reception also provides us with an opportunity to present information about a grant recently awarded to The University of Alabama researchers to help reduce obesity in rural Alabama communities. Through the grant project, University researchers and communities in Alabama’s rural Black Belt region will partner to develop and support collaborative research focused on reducing obesity in these communities.
