LA/TA/1126 ANGUS COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 THE ANGUS COUNCIL (SPACES FOR PEOPLE) (TEMPORARY SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 2020 2020 Director of Infrastructure Angus House Orchardbank Business Park Forfar ANGUS COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 THE ANGUS COUNCIL (SPACES FOR PEOPLE) (TEMPORARY SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 2020 Angus Council in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf being satisfied that traffic on the road or roads referred to in this Order should be restricted because of the likelihood of danger to the public hereby make the following Order: - 1. This Order may be cited as the “THE ANGUS COUNCIL (SPACES FOR PEOPLE)(TEMPORARY SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 2020” and shall come into operation on 28 September 2020 from which date it is anticipated that the maximum duration in terms of said Act is 18 months. 2. Save as provided in Article 4 hereof no person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding twenty miles per hour in or upon any of the lengths of road or roads specified in Part 1 of the Schedule to this Order. 3. Save as provided in Article 4 hereof no person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding forty miles per hour in or upon any of the lengths of road or roads specified in Part 2 of the Schedule to this Order. 4. Nothing in Articles 2 or 3 of this Order shall apply so as to prevent any person from causing any vehicle to exceed the speed limits in or upon any of the lengths of road or roads specified in that Article if the vehicle is being used for Police, Fire Brigade or Ambulance purposes.
