I am pleased to present the activities of the Judo Union of Asia period since last JUA Congress in Bangkok, Thailand in the year 2013. The events since then :- In the year 2013 We had continued with the Asian Senior Judo Championships on 19th and 20th April, followed by Team Championships on 21st April. We had Asian Youth Games with Judo event included from 17th to 19th Aug. Thereafter, Saudi Arabia organized Referee Seminar and Continental Examinations in November. During our Asian Youth and Junior Judo Championships in Haikou, Hainan, China we had Organization Seminar and Examination on 9th and 10th Dec. Together with this we had9th to 13th Referee Seminar and Continental Examination. During these activities, on 11thWe had Asian Youth Judo Championships followed by 12th and 13th December with Asian Junior Judo Championships. Here shows of the last Judo Union of Asia Congress in progress, that is on 17th April, 2013. This are the activities of the Bangkok Asian Judo Championship 2013 in Individual Category. Participation was 29 National Federations with 220 Athletes. Medals Table for Bangkok Asian Judo Championships 2013 shows Japan stood first followed by Korea South as second Mongolia as third. We can note with the medal standings that there are many countries are getting coming into the medal and place standings. My strategy is that more and more countries to take part in the Championships events and come to recognition. It is not only the well known countries to rise up in levels but other as well to come up and be a part of Judo fame. I would add that even India, Pakistan and Thailand have now come to the medals and standings with more interest. Also I want more and more countries take part, which we notice see here in Kuwait as many as 33 countries are taking part in completion. Here are the showings of the Bangkok Asian Team Championships where 19 Teams participated. That means more countries took part as teams to compete effectively and get active. Here the activity of the action during the Nanjing Asian Youth Games which was held in August 2013. Medals Standings for the Nanjing Asian Youth Games shows South Korea stood first, North Korea stood second and 2015JUA CONGRESS - Minutes 11-5-2015, KUWAIT. 3 Uzbekistan at third, the list has 8 medal Standings, however had 10 countries getting medals although it was only 6 categories, showing wider appeal. Haikou Hainan, China Youth and Junior Judo Championships were conducted with participation 21 countries having 99 male and 64 female competitors. This shows medal standings for Youth Asian Judo Championships, Haikou, where China stood first with 5 golds, followed by Korea with 3 golds and Kazakhstan with 2 golds. The medal table has 17 standings. Here is the medal standings for Junior Asian Judo Championships Haikou, where Japan stood first with 10 golds, followed by Korea with 2 golds and 2 silver and Mongolia following with 2 golds and one silver. The medal table has 19 standings. The medal standing show increasing appeal into the standings and distinctions. There conducted 9 Judo events in Asia under the IJF with 7 being in IJF World Ranking in them. They were Asian Open Continental in Chinese Taipei in September, Grand-prix Almaty in September, Grand-prix Tashkent in October, Kata world Championships at Kyoto Japan in October. Followed with Grand-prix at Qingdao in October November, Grand-prix at Abu Dhabi and Veterans Championships at the same place following the Grand-prix. We ended the year 2013 with Grand Slam at Tokyo, Japan during November and December and completing the year with Grand-prix at Jeju Korea in December 2013. These events much interest in holding World Ranking events inside our Asian continent. Now coming to the last year 2014: Judo Union of Asia conducted successfully, JUA EC meeting in Kuwait on 30th and 31st Jan, 2014. Referee Seminar and Continental Examination followed at Nepal on 9th to 13th April, Asian Kata Seminar and Examinations were held Bangkok, Thailand on 19th till 21st June, followed with Kata Championships on 22nd June, at the same place.
