Geographical Data The following is hereby added as the verbal boundary justification for the property: The boundaries of the district encompass the resources determined to have been significant in Civil Rights organizing and protests in downtown Birmingham between 1956 and 1963. [This change was made in consultation with and approved by the National Register staff of the Alabama SHPO.] The Alabama State Historic Preservation Office was notified of this amendment.
