There were 53 RNAs, a rate of 19.7%. Topping the session was the 8-year-old mare Local Color (Capote--Setting, by Exclusive Native), who sold to Rancho San Jose for $45,000. Indian Creek consigned the winning mare, in foal on a Mar. 19 cover to Square Eddie (Smart Strike), as hip 3338. Local Color is a half to two stakes horses, including the GI Oak Leaf S. heroine Vivid Angel (Septieme Ciel). Hip 3310, a colt from the second crop of Grade II winner Parading (Pulpit), brought the session=s top price for a weanling.
