The posters summarize several ways to protect against prolonged sun exposure and also offer visual photos on what to look for. You can also find some information on our website by clicking here https://rigcsa. wildapricot.org/links . The August 15th Stress Buster Day was held at Swansea Country Club in Swansea, MA. Our host Bill Coulter CGCS and his assistant Frank Vollaro, along with the entire Swansea staff, had the course in impeccable condition. The stress buster tournament is a perfect time of year to forget about the pressures of your own course for an afternoon and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow superintendents. It’s a great way to lift your spirits and gain that final push necessary to finish the season. The afternoon barbecue was absolutely mouthwatering. During the meeting, our guest speakers Dr. Leslie Robinson- Bostom from Lifespan and George Andosica from the RI Department of Health discussed skin cancer risks and sun pro- tection. Their presentations included handouts with photos of some common skin conditions as well as discussions on preven- tion and when to seek medical attention for questionable skin blemishes.
