Any Eagles or Bengals fan dressed in their team’s gear who mentions the promotion at the Hall’s box office will receive a $5 discount on any regular price museum admission. The promotion runs from Friday, Dec. 2 through Monday, Dec. 5. The Hall of Fame is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. EAGLES IN CANTON The Eagles have nine longtime players enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. They include: CHUCK BEDNARIK (Center-Linebacker, 1949-1962, Class of 1967); BERT BELL (Commissioner-Owner, 1933-1940, Class of 1963); BOB BROWN (Tackle, 1964- 68, Class of 2004); SONNY JURGENSEN (Quarterback, 1957-1963, Class of 1983); TOMMY MCDONALD (Wide Receiver, 1957-1963, Class of 1998); EARLE “GREASY” NEALE (Coach, 1941-1950, Class of 1969); PETE PIHOS (End, 1947-1955, Class of 1970); STEVE VAN BUREN (Halfback, 1944-1951, Class of 1965); and REGGIE WHITE (Defensive End, 1985-1992, Class of 2006). Philadelphia also has 11 Hall of Famers who spent a minor portion of their careers as a member of the Eagles: CRIS CARTER, RICHARD DENT, MIKE DITKA, BILL COMMITMENT • INTEGRITY • COURAGE • RESPECT • EXCELLENCE HEWITT, CLAUDE HUMPHREY, JAMES LOFTON, OLLIE MATSON, ART MONK, JIM RINGO, NORM VAN BROCKLIN and ALEX WOJCIECHOWICZ. There are countless artifacts of historical significance from the Eagles franchise at the Hall of Fame. A few items currently on display in the museum include: the franchise certificate for the Philadelphia Football Club signed by Joe Carr in 1933; kicking shoes worn by Cody Parkey of the Philadelphia Eagles on December 28, 2014 against the New York Giants when he broke the NFL record for most points scored in a single season by a rookie; and REGGIE WHITE’S jersey from 1987. BENGALS IN CANTON ANTHONY MUÑOZ, the great tackle for the Bengals, was enshrined in 1998 becoming the first longtime member of the Bengals franchise to join the Hall of Fame. CHARLIE JOINER, who spent a minor portion of his 18-year career with Cincinnati (1972-75), was enshrined in 1996. An artifact of historical significance on exhibit from the Bengals franchise is the AFL official football used in the opening kickoff of Cincinnati’s inaugural regular season home game on Sept. 15, 1968. NEW AT THE HALL Johnson Controls Hall of Fame Village, a nearly $600 million development of the Pro Football Hall of Fame campus, began in September 2015 and includes significant enhancements to the museum that opened this past summer. The Hall is now home to an extraordinary cutting-edge, multi-sensory immersive theater, “A Game for Life,” featuring holographic representations of Hall of Fame legends JOE NAMATH, GEORGE HALAS, and VINCE LOMBARDI. The experience provides great inspiration to fans by showing them how the game of football also teaches lessons about life. The stories of numerous Hall of Famers, including JIM KELLY, STEVE LARGENT, ALAN PAGE, JIM BROWN, WARREN MOON and CURTIS MARTIN, are shared. The Hunt/Casterline Pro Football Hall of Fame Card Collection exhibit recently opened at the Hall. The exhibit showcases the rarest, highest graded, and most valuable football card collection in the world featuring a rookie card for each Hall of Fame player to date. The most-significant pieces of the 300,000-plus collection that dates to 1888 are displayed.
