Following a trauma, we might forget all the ‘BAD’ things that happened but the painful feelings like anxiety, panic, anger and despair are continually triggered and it feels as though the traumatic event is happening now. It changes the way your brain develops and how it should work. You can become affected in lots of different ways. You might have difficulty concentrating, solving problems, feel more sensitive, have difficulty remembering things and worrying. You can also have problems sleeping and become startled or jumpy.
