Between 2100 and 2200 h on 14 February 2015, I observed amplexus (Fig. 1) involving a male P. leucomystax (SVL 47 mm, mass 8 g) and a female L. hendricksoni (SVL 60 mm, mass 15 g) in the Sungai Sedim Recreational Forest, Kedah, Malaysia (5°25’N, 100°46’E; elev. < 150 m asl). The pair was on forest floor leaf litter, 2–3 m from a rocky pool (1 x 0.5 m, depth 3–18 cm) situated between two granite rocks and sheltered by lowland dipterocarp forest.
