In 2011, this lakefront reservation RIVERGATE Reservation reached a national standard for success when it was awarded the designation of being Blue Wave Certified by the Clean Beaches Council as the first beach in Ohio and on Lake Erie to be recognized as a Blue Wave Beach. The Reservation Lake Erie Nature & Science Center provides lake access for swimming, beach walking, boating, Trails Guide f ishing and bird watching. Trail Etiquette: • Control your speed and maintain a safe distance. • Stay out of ski tracks when walking. • Faster trail users yield to slower trail users.
