Palm Sunday Triumphal Entry Palm Sunday is the beginning of Holy Week. After having fasted and prayed for forty days, Jesus was ready to come into Jerusalem. On this day we are happy to celebrate. We have fasted and prayed during the Lenten period. At the same time however, we are filled with sadness because we know the suffering that Jesus will have to go through in the days ahead.
