Walks both easy & hard can possibly be done directly from the hostel & the town has a rather attractive castle, should the to weather decide to be inclement. The cost per member for the weekend is a very reasonable £25.50 including the group booking fees, so no excuses of being short of money on the run up to Christmas. 20 spaces Sun 20-Nov-11 have been booked at YHA Conwy. The walking is expected to be reasonably straightforward with the odd steeper section. Opens for booking at the Derby pub meet on the 13th October 2011. There are countless Munros (3000ft plus mountains) & Corbetts less than an hour from the City, as well as the Ochil Hills & Campsie Fells even closer. Flatter walks are in plentiful supply as well…we've got all bases covered. Maybe a covering of snow will make this trip feel even more 'festive'. Grades will vary depending on the choice of walk; B for the higher mountains, C & D for lower hills & E for city walks.
